anything below 25.5" from fender to ground is too low, but you can definitely go lower than stock sport. some place in between is perfect, imo. sold 2 finger gap all around should be fine. don't...

What oil are you using?

In the winter time, I often see in the 175-200 range with normal driving, but then it's up to the 225 when sprinted driving.

I've seen it between the 250 and 275 marks...

What happened to the forum that was promised that looked and read like the old one?

I noticed there is an option to change the format to threads like the old AW, but that's still hard to read too.

I bet Chipster has the missing crank bolts.

<ducks>

sucks these cars are getting old and need things like this.

I need to do a valve cover gasket. it's getting worse. I was thinking about waiting until the 120k timing belt (2nd TB),...

local AA had a set shipped in for me from another store. still some around. putting them in next

weekend when I do the 115k oil change.

interesting info... the receipt for the order said "V power" in the title for the plugs, but the ones that I got are the regular #6097s without any mention...

no problem. I would still do some research, though. too bad the search function is down.

but, common sense tells me you'd be fine.

I'd be more worried about your 8.5", +35mm wheels not clearing -- but, if those are fine... then I don't see how the x8, +45 setup would be an issue.

ask in the wheel forum, but I don't see why you'd need a spacer for a tire that is the same size

overall as a 225/45/17 that is stock.

and stock is +45mm on most of the stock wheels. +43mm on mine. +35mm on aftermarkets.

there are ppl running 235/40/17 Rcomps on 17x8, +35mm wheels :) ...

why would that be an issue? rolling diameter would be the same, assuming he uses the right tires

x8" wheel with +45mm is fine.

you can run 8.5" with +35mm, if you're not too low.

Do you have the car? take the center cap off. might say the offset on the wheel.

plus, I'm sure the AR uses fatter tires than the A4 -- if you're trying to use an old setup from your A4.
