I have never had "auto" mode hold gears. The transmission is always as lazy and quick to upshift as ever when in auto. When I am in town and below 50moh, I drive in sport, auto for anything highway.

The A6 with sports suspension is the same thing as an S4, but with 3 inches of extra rear passenger leg room. It is the perfect sleeper / family car.

The S6 for me, doesn't add enough over the A6...
