Its very safe for sure but for a sporty type SUV it sure takes any fun out of driving it in the snow.I am quite disappointed by being unable to defeat the nanny systems.

With all of our BMW's including an X3 you have been able to defeat all the systems with the exception of the ABS and I do not understand why you cannot on the SQ5.I wish I could also turn the ABS...

How come you cannot totally disable the Stability Systems on a SQ5?

I find it really annoying that the OFF Road mode only turns down the ESC & ASR systems and still leaves them on enough to interfere when driving in deep snow.Is there a way to defeat these systems...

I have only ever seen 1 other Sq5 on the road here in Toronto and it was in the 1st couple of weeks of ownership.I see way more E92 M3's every day here.

None of that on these thankfully!My M3 has auto stop/start but it defaults to off all the time.I have never switched it on during my 27 months of ownership:)

I got a little 2800 kms on my SQ5 and so far my overall average is 9.8L/100 km(24 US mpg) and I am quite pleased with this considering that my previous F150 with a 6.2 would have been around 16L/100...

I am averaging over 600 kms a tank after 2500 kms of use.The last time I checked it was 9.8l/100 kms which is a huge improvement over the F150 6.2 that I drove for the last 3 years:)
