The OE lens is glass.. I located the replacement...

The OE lens is glass.. I located the replacement (ebay) which is plastic.
I'm going to wedge off the clear plastic lens and glue it into place with GE 2 Clear silicone.

What's the routine to replace the lens (so it doesn't find the pavement again?)
I'm going to glue (silicon) the new one in, if I ca figure out how remove the housing!)

Right Side GLASS Turn Indicator lens fell off..!
Is there a easy procedure to replace this glass Lens?
AND.. before the left side falls off, any suggestions on getting it to stay in place?

one (new) front strut

ONE new SACHS (front) strut. I got two... forgot I had replaced one earlier.
I'll split shipping expense. This strut may fit more than just the D2..?

You should be able to have someone rebuild yours ... locally.
Have them both done btw. pc

Ps. Are they just leaking(?) if so, this exercise gets cheaper.

I've also had to recently deal with a sensor going bad. My oil pressure sensor decided to give up after 20 years..
$9.00 for the sensor and $40.00 for the install. Great car!!!.. pc

Batteries need help.. don't throw them away

Fix em, and save your money for better things.. like a 1 amp manual charger and a few other minor necessaries.
(gloves, safety glasses, a big enough plastic dish pan, distilled water, baking soda...

Between the 2000 D2 and the 2003 S8 Bilstein B6 size front shock (dimension wise) difference..
They are both classified as D2s. pc

I'm not sure on this info, but.. I believe the S series spindles are taller (lowers) the S8.
The Springs should not change, other than having a higher rate than the OE springs.

Lower about 1"

If you like the way it rides.. stick with SACHS/OE shocks AND Eibach has a spring kit that will lower your D2 about 1".
( ( I HAVE THE SPRING KIT (used) IF YOU NEED IT..) ) And it WILL tighten-up...

PLEASE.. rebuild the OLD CV Axles

your OEM axles will last a VERY long time and are MUCH better than any brand of re-built axle.
I spent $200 getting my old Axles (ALL four) rebuilt. Eight (8) fresh boots were all that was needed....
