There's an MMI firmware update to address this - for me it changed when my MMI got updated from V0918 to V1316. Dealer did it after I had complained that the top view mode wasn't working...

Don't know what the original factory fitted water pump part number was but my work order shows 06L-121-012-L - I hope that's a newer improved variant than what was fitted new at the factory. :)

Sorry out of ideas - also thought it could be a fuse but you've confirmed things work with those master buttons unless the fuse operates on a different parallel circuit to the central electronics...

Probably 60 seconds or so - just hang around around in your garage and time how long they actually stay on. If it's more than say 3 mins, something is definitely wrong.
