Don't remember discussion on plugs

on any of the other Mk 2 boards in the past year but try a search on Quattroworld or Fourtitude. This board has been pretty dead.

Even a nationwide search brings up relatively few TTs compared to most other cars. Fortunately for you, more TTs are sold in CA than any other state.

Based on what I see, I'd go with the lower mileage TT

Take the VIN to your nearest Audi dealer and the service manager will gladly give you any Audi service records which should be for at least the first 50K miles. You are talking almost 20K miles...

Do a search on quattroworld or fourtitude

There are several companies you can mail it to for a rebuild for a few hundred $. The cluster is one integrated circuit board. Swapping parts is not recommended. Repair/replace the entire cluster.

On the Mk 1 boards there are frequent posts by folks looking at cars 100K+

I think the Mk 2 is more reliable then the Mk 1 which has many cars on the road with 150K+ on the ticker, but there are not a lot of TTs out there with 100K+ on the DSG tranny.
