It doesn't buy you that much more pure cargo space - but certainly more convenience...

With the seats up, the extra cargo space is pretty limited - especially considering that the sedan has a good size trunk, but the real advantage is that its sectioned off interior space. For me it's...

The S4 is faster but the TT 225 feels quicker to me...

I have an S4 and my wife has a TT 225 coupe. It may just be the gear ratios and quicker shift mechanism but the TT feels pretty quick through the first few gears.

Do pre-01 S4s with the older style spring perches have a higher front vs rear ride height? (m)

With all this talk about the Intrax/Koni setup, I'm wondering if I can change the perches/pads to reduce the OEM ride height on a late 01... Seems to me that even my 99 A4 Avant with sport suspension...

My S4 seems to be down on power... any ideas ? (m)

I only have 2700 miles and there has been a gradual but definite loss in power. The low end torque still feels pretty solid and I can hear the turbos spooling but mid range and up feels more like my...

Clutch engagement question - is this typical for an S4?

I have about 2,500 miles on my S4 now and I've noticed that the clutch engagement has really tightened up. By this, I mean that the engagement range is very short now and you have to rev match even...

It's a very nice machine. She should talk to my wife - she loves hers ...

I've had many Audi's throughout the years and my wife got hooked on AWD early on. She isn't a car enthusiast per se but she won't even consider a vehicle that doesn't have it (the other "must haves"...

I buy it by the gallon...

I use it between washings to keep the car looking sharp. It works great for light cleaning jobs like cleaning break dust or water spray off the sides of the car. It acts as a better lubricant than...

With the wheel attached to the car and spinning on its axis, ...

the outer edge of the wheel will orbit slightly off center. If you were to look at a spinning wheel on a balance machine from the side, you would see what looks like a flat spot in its rotation. ...

Has anyone experienced excessive run-out with BBS RKs ? - I have 4 new square wheels (m)

Ya, I'm pretty picky but is it too much to ask for round wheels? When I had the wheels mounted I noticed a small but noticable vibration above 30 mph. The balance and road deflection check out to...

No leaks - everything looked perfect ... I live in near Boston Mike - wanna trade?

Very throaty at idle - enough to turn heads when I started it. Lots of lovely rumbling off throttle but rather boomy in the cabin under load up to 3K rpms (I have an Avant which may impact the...

My love/hate relationship with this exhaust is over - Neuspeed/Borla in classifieds if interested.

It was just too much louder than stock for me despite mellowing out after the 1st 1K miles. Those OEM exhaust tips sure look puny now though...

Careful with Clair and mods...

They voided my brake warranty and charged me to replace warped rotors on my A4 because I had Mintex pads. Hard to argue their point because the non-OEM part comes in contact with the rotors but I've...

Sure - I had one in my A4 2.8 Avant - exact same piece... (m)

funny though, my A4 had a nice rear carpet over the hard mat with an Avant logo on it. I was surprised to see that the S4 Avant didn't have one. The cool doggie net made up for it though.

I love mine - they are not as good on ice as some of the special compound tires but ...

they are excellent in snow and provide exceptional dry and wet weather handling for a snow tire. Very quiet too with good tread wear. The 5th tire is a real benefit too. If you trash a snow tire...
