I got this problem and would appreciate any help:

- Engine ignites / revs but on only 5 cylinders (sometime even 4!), runs horrible like a tractor, chokes and dies if you don't rev it, and then...

I need a passenger-side headlight housing... and the scrap yards I've been don't have much Audis...

Anybody knows a good scrapyard in the Montreal region that might have a housing for a B5 S4?

Running on 5 cylinders when cold... changed the coilpack and plugs...

The engine, when cold, will sometime fire on 5 cylinders only. VAGCOM pointed to cylinder #5, so I changed the coilpack and changed all 6 plugs (they were due anyway). No change... After 1 or 2...

It's off warranty and no, APEXi doesn't sell the part... :(

Well... not cheap... It's $14-$15/bl. extraction cost compared to $5-$7 for light crude...

... not that bad considering there is now way we'll return to $10-15/barrel like 1998.

That's VAG (JP) twin-GT25r S4 ; he got nailed for doing a 4-wheel burn on the street... :)

This car traps 125 mph on C-16 gas... Not bad.

Usual suspect would be the MAF or a leak in the intercooler hose...

Recheck for some crack in intercooler hoses ; one crack might not be seen until the hose in under "pressure". It's not always easy to spot.

If air can flow in the crack, you will have a mismatch...

Yep. I have experienced that... 28 PSI in Winter at 10F is great... in summer, it sucks...

On the K04/K24, 28 PSI gave the best results in winter at 0F-10F (perfect for our Canadian winter) while in summer, 23-24 PSI seems to be the most optimal level on my car.

... I may add that BMW M3 drivers are among the worst in that scenario... and rarely ...
