I have a '96 2.8 and I've been using regular for 6 years now and my mechanic hasn't said anything/or the car has any problems.

Thanks for the suggestions but it didn't have an "onsent" (spelling?) It was a very "it started" I also recently had the fluid/filter changed.

I have a 1996 Audi A4 2.8 FWD - only 49k miles

When I start from a stop the RPMs are around 1-2 and when it hits to a point, the RPMS go to 4-5 and I feel a "slip" (there isn't any push going...
