Is it the OEM pump? Have not heard of A6 Allroad OEM pump failures. Have heard of some aftermarket replacements failing. But if it's OEM A6, it's at least 14 years old.

Non start can be a bunch of things like fuel pump (can you hear it? Do you have fuel supply?), no spark, no compression, etc. A scan of the fault memory may point you to the correct answer.
