Ack! You're making me sad thinking about my S4.

Oh, the sacrifices we make for kids. :)

Hope you're doing well, Mark!

I went the GTI route.

Overall, I'm very happy with the GTI. Very fun and very well designed and constructed for its class and price range.

I'd say the A3 has an edge in interior materials and a bunch of little touches...

I have a VW GTI, but...

I use D for highway cruising and S for around town and traffic. I find S is better for hitting openings in traffic faster and keeping a tight spacing with the car in front of me around town.

I use...

Awesome! Congrats to Audiboy and Jenny!

My daughter turned one-year-old today, so there must be a convergence of Audiworld offspring this time of year. :)

I'll keep an eye out for you.

I'm surprised I haven't seen you already as Imola Yellow is my favorite Audi color.

My GTI is United Gray; stock except for window tint so far. Far less noticeable than yellow. :)

I work in Sierra Point business park which is about a five minute drive from "downtown" Brisbane.

Although I drive a VW GTI now and haven't had an Audi in years.

I do hop over to Brisbane quite frequently as food choices are very limited by my work.

Are planning on buying one of those...

Sorry, I should read more closely.

I believe he charges $40 per side window, but I don't know if that's dependant on whether he did the original install.

Just had Vincent do the tint on my GTI.

Good job at a nice price.

I talked to him about possibly doing Clear Bra in the future. I mentioned I wanted a complete front end wrap including headlights and foglights and if I recall correctly...

That's great for checking out cars.

But I'm interested in an actual show with VW/Audi vendors. That way, I can check out cars AND tempt myself into doing some impulse buying. :)

Are there any big VW/Audi shows in the Bay Area anymore?

May is approaching and I used to look forward to the New Dimension's show back in the day.

I just got an '08 GTI.

I had been considering an A3 since it came out, and more recently, a used A3 vs the GTI.

I was going back and forth between the two since I've had both Audis and VWs in the household previously,...

I like it a lot.

Mine is basically a base model with just a sunroof and DSG as options. It's been a long while since I've had a small two-door car and I'm having a lot of fun with it. It reminds me a lot of my '89...

Had an '01 S4 Avant and just picked up an '08 GTI. Does that count?

I like to lurk on this forum cause I generally find it more enjoyable and informative than the VW forums I've found so far.

I was close to getting a pre-owned A3, but VW's recent lease deal made...

I think people aren't understanding what I'm saying.

The problem: I want to add my new car to my existing FasTrak account and transponder, but FasTrak requires a license plate number to do so. But since it's a new car, and I have yet to receive my...

FasTrak question: Can you use an old transponder with a newly purchased car?

I have a transponder and account already, but I've just purchased a new car. But I'm not allowed to add the new car to the transponder on file without a license plate # and I won't have the new...

Thanks for the upgrade tips.

I'm going to try and control myself for a while before going down that slippery slope. We'll see how long my resolve lasts. :)

Well, no Audi, but I am back in the VAG fold.

Needed a commuter car so I picked up a 2008 VW GTI today--a United Gray Metallic base model with only DSG and sunroof as options.

The DSG will be an interesting experiment for me. I went back and...

Is Ernst still at Diablo Audi?

I may be in the market for a pre-owned Audi soon, but it's been so long since I've frequented these forums that I'm totally out of touch.

Hope all is well with...

Noice.

So has the 335i made you Beemer fanatic? Or is there another Audi in the plans sometime in the future?
