I am and have been running HREs in 18x9 with a 39 offset for 4 years and never have had any issues. I even have a 2" lip all for corners....yes I have had the vibration with heavy rain, but how often...

I find it hard to believe that MB would call out specific tires.....

only Porsche actually designates a tire with their "N" rating which eliminates a bunch of manufactures.

Got you all beat....was in Utah for the SCCA/AMLS races over the weekend...

and the track temp was 147 at 3:00 pm on Saturday....air temp was 104.....

I have no issue with the filler plate but why put S4 stuff on a car....

that is not an S4...could never understand this. I can understand the mirrors kinda, but why make it look like something that it is not.....

Run the pressures that are listed on the placquard...those are there for a reason and .....

if you have a tire go bad, you will have a hard time getting them to replace it if you run pressures that are higher than the recommended levels.

As long as the overall diameter is within 3% of the OE set up, it is fine....

but on a Quattro I would not recommend staggered fitments at all.....on a front wheel car, the wider is for the rear unless this is a race car or track car only...otherwise it makes no sense...

The reason to put the 235s in the rears is simple....

this is not a track car or a race car therefore, the little bit of difference that the 235s will give him in width would not be noticeable....I understand the comments made about the OEMs trying the...

I really can't believe that I am reading this question....

the 225s go in front and the 235s in the rear. Very simple, since you are not racing and not tracking the car, the wider ones go in the rear....

I am shipping my '32 Roadster from Florida to CA and it is running $1590...

using Nationwide Transport and that is an enclosed transport, oper carrier was around $880

Hey I just bought a '32 Roadster and I am shipping it as we speak....

try Nationwide transport (888)-953-8998...it is running me $1595 for enclosed transport from Florida to CA, but open trucks are half the price..

MB you are going down...Miami chokes again....oh and the pressure, yes lower might be more

comfortable but it will also break the sidewalls down quicker and wear out your tires quicker...so for 19s I would run 39-40....I run 38 in my 18s and have 17K on hard driven T1Rs....

I understand where you are coming from with your comments....

but to defend Lon, he can refer to this show as "his" since he started it and does the majority of the leg work to get it off the ground. I have no problem with the tone of his posting.

Good luck...I have been in 12 times in 2 1/2 years (5 times in '05) and it is still doing it....

speakers have been replaced, grease has been cleaned out numerous times (how much did they put in??), only thing they have not done is replace the wiring and the next time it comes up I am pressing...
