Of course the receiver does it all but you should still run another 1-2 extra HDMI to the TV...

to future proof yourself.

Receivers have 2-4 HDMI inputs these days but what if you need more and don't want to upgrade to another receiver.

Since you are burying the wires, run at least one...

Easy to prewire at this stage. You will need:

2-3 HDMI cables from the TV to the cabinet.
12-16 guage In Wall Rated Speaker wire for the fronts, center, rears and center rear (if you go 6.1)
Subwoofer (RCA) cable from the cabinet to wherever...
