As an addendum - Audi said they can only get the whole mirror (minus cap and mirror) sold as unit. AudiOEM parts sees he motor separately for a lot less. My question - the mirror will not fold up...

Mine on driver's side did this when battery died after 7.5 yrs. But 3 months later started again on passenger side. Codes say motor is shorting out - not the switch. Waiting for motor to come in.

Mine does the same thing -it's a 2014 SQ5. I just expect it if the brakes are very wet and I haven;t used them in a while. I thought it was just poor design not allowing the discs to dry well.

Yes - but I did have to grind down a bit of the plastic on the blade adapter t get it to click into the Audi metal arm. They have cleared the windshield well.
