2nd, check the parts list for the past job or speak with whomever did it.

If they changed those seals I'd suggest trying the cam PLUGS first. They're cheap and easy to do without opening up...

2nd, some but not all will buff out. Be careful, the paint at the bends can be thin.

Very easy to get overzealous with a machine close to the edge and burn right through the clear coat. Before you know it, it's too late.

Paint's new, why risk it ?

If you're asking then you're probably not comfortable taking the risk that you perceive. If you perceive risk it's probably because you're not confident enough to use a machine on your new car . . ....

Front, passenger side behind TB cover? Cam plugs are at the back of engine, seals are up front.

If its up front behind the TB cover and you've already done the valve cover gaskets then it's probably the cam seal. To change it requires pulling the sprocket at which point you may as well do a...

Drivers side head has cam adjuster on the frontmost part of the head. I wouldn't say for sure that-

what you're seeing is necessarily a bad cam seal. That being said, its best to have the part in hand when you take things apart so that you're not stuck waiting for parts. Particularly since the...

Been there, done that. There's a difference, a slight one but its there nonetheless.

Only way to ensure perfect cam timing is to use the locking tools to set everything perfect and then tension the belt properly prior to locking the sprockets down.

The looseness in the belt when...

I use and love souveran, it's fantastic on dark colors. What do you define as "good"?

Looks? Souveran is top notch.

Durability? Maybe not but even then there needs to be some parameters set forth to determine if this really is an issue for you.

It rains here OFTEN and my car...

ABS Module DIY success story. Used the guide commonly referred to in the passat forums.

Just wanted to confirm that we were able to repair my failed ABS module within an hour or so. Been using it for a week now with no issues or codes. Tested ABS on a gravel road and works well.

I don't think you should compare the 00 to 03 like you're doing . . .

If your car feels boaty perhaps your shocks are shot . . if his seats are sport seats perhaps he has sports suspension . . . not apples and apples is my point.

Even mileage is subjective, as your...
