Hi guys, my g/f's A5 just threw an alternator warning at me 'alternator not charging battery!' under normal driving conditions. I have 11.2V across the posts under the hood with the engine running....

I would say YES, move the car, so long as you've already marked the location of the tyre's 'footprint' on the ground to make sure your car is returning to the exact same spot after you've moved it...

New steering rack fitted, all assistance left, hardly any right??

2002 A6 2.7TT 6 speed. Car just blew it's steering rack seals on the right hand end. Ordered reman rack with three year warrantee from buyautoparts.com from a link on AW.
