pressure washing is just fine...just use common sense.

Never steam clean an engine bay though.

Wrap up open air filters, distributor caps (for older engines), etc.

We use Meguiar's super degreaser and a boar's hair brush to agitate heavy grease...

Try Aquapel... lasts much longer. Make sure your surface is clean

so that whatever protectant you are applying sticks to the glass and not a surface film of dirt.

Clay bar the windshield or (for the not so faint of heart) use a razor blade or credit card and...

There are several high quality paste waxes that won't leave a "filmy/cloudy" look

There are a few high end zymol and swissol waxes that do not leave this look..

Also... like the rule of thumb.. a little goes a long way. A very thin application will not be as difficult to buff...

paste waxes tend to leave a very light cloudy appearance over a black car..

It is the nature of most carnauba waxes.

A properly cut and polished car with a synthetic wax/paint sealant/high grade paste wax will not have a cloudy appearance.
