The one I replaced for a 2.7T, pump still works but the check valve failed. I also found small pieces of some kind of hard plastic in white colour...

Not sure your model and year but that looks like the G22 distance sensor (VSS).

You can only repair the connector maybe, in ETKA it looks like part of the entire engine harness......
