if the worst you've gotta deal with is a tiny dot that doesn't light up, I'm thinking you're well ahead of the game ;-)

honestly, does it matter that much?

so long as the headlight info around the switch is lit (telling you which mode you're in), who cares about the little dot. It's tiny, and you said it yourself that you never notice it. Even if it...

honestly, my B6 was chipped w/ GIAC and I loved it. If I chip my B7, i'll go GIAC again

I'd go with whichever shop you prefer (assuming you have a preference). For me, the choice is easy since I have experience w/ GIAC, and my GIAC tuner is closer than the nearest APR tuner. Also,...

I would have thought so, but the communication errors and malfunctions had me questioning the version being an issue....I'll install and retry. Thanks again and have a happy holidays!

I tried checking for Window up/down w/ remote, and Sunroof w/ remote

followed the instructions for using the long-coding helper, and checked the settings without issue. when I clicked the X and clicked do it!, that's when I get the error.

thx...this actually wasn't my car, and I won't have access to it until after the holidays.

If I post the autoscan now, any chance you could give me an idea of what i'm working with? I'd love to be able to tell my friend something now, as opposed to wait until 09 if possible

Question regarding some communication errors...

admittedly i'm running version 704.1, but I was receiving some communication errors while trying to code a Mk V GTi (simple windows up/down with remote, and sunroof open w/ remote). I got an error...

guess it's a good thing i've got an S-Line :-)

personally, i prefer the look of the Audisport logo over the regular A4 logo regardless of S-car or non-S car....i can respect where you're coming from though

i've got it...you can use voice commands or go directly via the phone

no caller ID or input via NAV screen...it works great though and its much cheaper than an OEM retrofit...i'm very happy with mine
