I have had my 3.0 Avant since new, put almost 120K miles on it and never had any issues other than broken T-belt pulley at 56K miles and recently needed a new clutch. Timing belt has to be replaced...

The top of the plug is the actual ignition coil (red L shaped tube with flat head that it pushed onto the plug).
You need to push and pry off the wire connector with a flat screwdriver and slide it...

you frequently drive in extreme conditions. The 40/60 bias change is barely noticeable comparing to the old 50/50.

Again, purchasing a V6 car is not all about comparing HP/torque figures on the specs sheet...

It is rather about car's drivability, owner's satisfaction, long term reliability and overall value despite higher initial cost. You either get it or you do not.

Looks like some new car buyers...

the $4,300 is not only for two more cylinders. V6 cars have always more standard equipment.

2008 B7 Avant 3.2 has standard leather, power seats, 18" wheels, heated front seats, walnut wood inlays.

All these options cost you over $3K extra on the 2.0T.

Apparently there are some who can appreciate the instant-on acceleration and smoothness of the V6 engine at ANY RPMs. They are also willing to sacrifice the fuel economy as long as they do not have...

Total B.S. Audi or VW were never selling 90% , 75% or even 50% cars with a stick here...

They have been always selling many more automatics in the US. Audi never even offered a stick in a A6 Avant or a cabriolet for example.

6MT cars maybe less popular right now but please stop...

Just like two years ago when VWoA decided not to offer 6MT on the new Passat wagon, people screamed

and then they gave us 6MT Passat for MY 2007.
Would not be surprised if AoA changes their mind about 6MT Avant next year.

New B8 has roughly 1" more rear leg room, about the same shoulder room, same head room and marginaly bigger trunk.

So if you do not need manual...
