The door or handle were never damaged. There are not apparent sign. The paint cracked because the rust created a bubble that eventually broke. The bubble was not really thick, I never noticed it.

They all turn on the A/C when you select the defrost. However you could still turn it off manually on some cars. I don't know why you would do that but it is possible.
