I had the exact same experience, they ended up changing the camshaft and follower and all those wonderful parts. It's never returned (2 years now).

So has anyone got rid of this rough idle? I still think it's ridiculous that Audi would sell a car that performs like this. Anyways, I still have it. After 1.5 years I'm hoping there was a solution.

I see Audi has not fixed the same problems that plagued the B7. Audi really has to fix this annoying problems if they want to keep their customers happy or else next car will be another brand.

The symptom for my 2006 A4 2.0T was during acceleration power would cut for a good couple of seconds before resuming.

The camshaft and parts were replaced.

Not sure if that helps.

I have the same issue ... so far no fix

I've found the cause to be a slow 2-1 shift. Very lazy shift. It should never shift to 1st unless I'm at a complete stop or floor it. Anyways, still hoping for a fix.

Same situation

Test drove in July, bought August, received november.... queue the winter cold weather.

Other than that, the car is fantastic but it is an issue Audi should address.
