Went from GY F1 GSD3 to RE960 A/S

In mild TX climate, here are my impressions on my B6 A4 3.0qm. Slightly quieter tire than the GSD3, but not by much. Some flat spotting on colder mornings. RE960 seems to take bumps in the road...

I got almost six "lines" out, so six liters. My bad!

I even added a little remaining fresh oil from my last change as sort of a flush and as soon as I added it the Pela sucked it right up (this took the Pela to over 6 lines).

Just went from M1 0w-40 back to GC 0w-30

Car is running noticably smoother, no start-up valve clatter, and it is taking a little longer to come up to temperature than with the M1 (less friction?). This is in my 3.0. I have run GC 0w-30...

Works great on my 3.0

Just used it this past weekend to replenish those Magic Elves! I have the round, 6000 model and it pulled almost 6 qts. out. Perhaps the sumps are slightly different between the 3.0 and the 1.8.

My understanding is that the 5 valve engines are very prone to carbon deposits

but his driving habits are atypical for carbon build up. Using premium gas is not a guaranty that carbon deposits will not form. Is the gas being used a premium brand, like Chevron whose Techron...

I'm pretty certain it met all the specs...

That's the only reason I tried it. And it was getting some good press here at the time...What is it missing?

Mobil 1 0W-40 meets key industry and car builder specifications for:

Mercedes MB...

Get into teh zone! Good luck - not all AZ stores have this oil

You may need to try a couple stores. One large store in my area has it, but a few smaller stores do not carry it.

My owners manual indicated that it was filled with 0W-30

Unfortunately there is no consensus on which oil to use going by dealership info, and the left hand of Audi does not seem to know what the right hand is doing in this matter. Stick to the advice of...

My '03 3.0 does this

Leave from work, start up car and it idles fine. Drive about a mile or two and wait at the stop light and it idles quite rough, but the tachometer shows a rock steady idle. The engine temp is just...

You should check out some of the Dogfish Head brews, too

The 90 minute IPA might be to your liking, and possibly the 120 minute, but I love the 60 minute.

I would not think so

Tire balance changes a little over time, anyways. When I had this done at Discount tire, I think it was only an extra $10 or so per tire. The extra cost is for the labor - they mount the tire and...

The OEM's use road force balancing - yes, it is worth it

The tires will require much less weight to balance, and you'll get that OEM ride back.
