I didn't see any evidence of the motor hitting the hood, it looks as if it's in place in the bay, and it feels solid if I attempt to rock it? Hopefully it'll be just a mount. I'll suppose I'll know...

I agree 100%

I switched to Ray Reece for VW service long ago after Herzog had pushed me away. It was terribly inconvenient at the time, but worth the piece of mind.

I also helped a GF purchase a VW over this...

i've gone 5 months... a friend has been doing it for years.

keep yer front plate between the seats. if you see a situation where you think you need it, toss it on the dash.

so I've never run my car through a car wash but choose to yesterday. I've used this particular one for years, with my Pathfinder, and have never had a problem. Well the guidance bar slightly...
