Keep having to replace camshaft position sensor 16730

I've had 4 camshaft position sensors go bad in the last four years or less.

2004 Audi TT 3.2
Current codes are 16730, 16395, 18613

Other than very bad luck, why would the sensors fail in less...

I had a check engine light on, so took it to my mechanic. The code said the camshaft and crankshaft sensors did not agree.

The most likely (and cheapest)...

I opened the trunk of my 3.2 TT and pulled the trunk floor cover up. Nothing ties it down and there is a gap in front of it

Anybody know what goes in these four holes?

How about below holes #2...

The body shop that put my car back together apparently used the wrong tool (looks like they used a hammer!?) to tighten the bolts on my fuel door. They're now all worn to heck.

Airbag update

My airbag story. Any comments?

1. Airbag light comes on
2. Tire center resets and the light stays off for weeks
3. I replace headlamp washer fuse, which burns out again, and the light comes back...

blinker solid instead of blinking -- but only rarely

Here is the deal:

1. 95% of the time: blinker is normal
2. other 5%: goes on but does not blink -- steady light
3. shut off & re-start car: back to normal

Do you know what they did to adjust it? The Audi dealership here has no known fix for water leaks or wind noise. "Convertables are like that" they tell me, but it's worse now at 60K miles than at 8K...

That makes sense. If there are two ways to do it, them ER&R must have done it the way that doesn't require alignment.
