I have an unused 35 sq ft. roll of brown-bread.

I have used both Dynamat and Brown-Bread in my Volkswagens and I find the Dynamat to be good but overpriced. The brown bread is just as nice and a little better reducing the db's. I purchased two...

Damn, I just started getting this yesterday.

I thought it was the cluster going for the third time. So its the air bag module that needs replacement?

Well looking on the bright side, at least I am starting a good friendship with the shuttle...

DSG would be always be faster than any human drivers on a manual.

Everything else being equal of course.
The DSG is not an 'automatic' so you don't lose power through the torque converter like a normal automatic. In addition its a dual clutch system so there is...

Point the remote at your chin when you use it.

Click&Clack on NPR mentioned this on last weeks show. Since I have the same problem I tried it and damned if it didn't work. It more than doubled my range.

There is no better 4 season sports/lux car than a TT.

I also live in New England and you would have to put those other cars in storage for the winter they are just NOT pratical.
The TT does absolutly need snow tires. I use 16" dunlap M2's on...

Actually they are $600 from Audi :-{

I called my local Audi part dept after curbing my first wheel. I decided I could live with a little curb rash for $600 a pop.

What, are you driving through a nail factory!

I have had F1's all summer no problems very nice quite grippy tire. Not the cheapest tire around but Tirerack has good ratings on them and I tend to agree nicer than the P6000's I had from the...

New one is about $180 fairly reasonable IMO.

I just got mine fixed after a woman backed into me, recently.
I was in the car and did not have time to move. I was madly blaring my horn but the apparently not looking in the rear view mirror...

Any kid in a Kia double points for backwards baseball cap.

I always see these on the highway maxed out at 90 weaving in&out of traffic. I guess they are trying to show that there car really is not a POS.

This is where I installed mine.

I used the cassette adapter works fine and wires are pretty well hidden. At some point I may use the Bitz CD-MP3 adapter cable.

The system may cycle back/forth but it should not cut power to the wheels w/ ESP off.

Your saying that if the rears slip it gives up and reverts to FWD. If that were the case AWD would be totally useless. This is certianly not what happens when I power up my driveway. The fronts...

Tell the tow truck to keep towing it to Audi, its broken!

It should have transfered power to the rear wheels. Most likely your Haldex computer is dead. I had mine Haldex computer go and it worked as a FWD car. It did always illumiate the haldex light...

Depends on the current shape and if it is a ground up resto.

The best bet is to buy a driver and fix as you drive. Once you decide on a ground up resto price goes way up. Figure 15k+ to start up to 25k+. I have talked with people who have spent twice this...

I had considered hinging the bike carrier.

If you could make a cut after the second bar with two sturdy hinges you could fold the bar up while not in use. Never did this though as I now have taken the rack off more because it was noisy and...

Thanks for the info.

I did a sharp U turn and laid on the Gas. All of a sudden my revs went way up with the sudden front wheel spin. It kind of freaked me out because I am so used to the other wheels picking up the...

22k and maybe my Haldex going?

Well its been 2000 miles after my struggles with getting the dealer to do a 20k Haldex oil change. Now after less than 10 minutes my Haldex or rather my ESP light comes on and stays on and will not...

VW's is an affliction but at least a good one!

LOL, If you get up to New England any time you can take the Ghia out for a spin or the Split which hopefully will be finished this year or early next.

VW tried to get the TT for just such a replacement

We know who won that deal. I have also heard from knowledgable people in the Ghia world that VW either has designs or they are working on a prototype. It may never happen but the retro movement...

I concur buy an original Porsche - 356 A,B or C

A couple of thousand won't buy much of a Porsche 356 and you will spend a lot of cash to fix it up. 912's can be had much cheaper but don't have quite the style of a 356.
Porsche's are much more...

Sick of crappy FM reception installing XM any advice.

I am leaning towards the Pioneer unit just because it has a nicer control module and I won't have too many wires dangling on the dash. I wish the sony wasn't so big bulky as I like the portability....
