I would have thought the dealer would suck the oil out of the dip stick hole, mine does that here, I do it that way also , don't have to mess with the cover or the drain plug.

I just did VW Atlas and it uses a different procedure maybe that will work on the Q7 uses 03 ABS brakes controller and uses the replace linings method.

I checked it wasn't the problem, took the VAG at one point told me the steering assist module couldn't communicate, but when I did the full scan of the car it's there and it's ok

sounds like one of the flex pipe has a hole in it but it 's only when the engine is cold...
