Overheated. Known issue and there is a "campaign" (read: recall) on this particular issue...

That's what it's there for. It's worse if you hit the fuel shutoff...

but that's what the rev limiter is there for, to protect the engine. If it wasn't safe to operate the car up to that certain point, then Audi had no reason to install the rev limiter at 7200.

SPEC makes a cluch. Probably better to go OEM though...

They at least carry a 12,000 mile/1 year warranty with their new parts. SPEC might make you liable for any repair costs for their own product, sadly.

code, and if it appears, then something is wrong. Your engine is not running the way it's supposed to. It's a brand new car, not 5 years old. You should have no cam adjuster issues. Period. Hope...

At least be straight, they can find out if they want to. Flash count, code diagnostic...

that would mean they would have to remove the ecm, but that is not unheard of if the warranty claim substantiates the extra look. Jusy FYI.
