I think we typically use a Beacon or a magnetic strip. I can never really remember.

The top speed in our current kart is a bit dissapointing. About 117mph at PIR and around 123mph at Pacific Raceways. Our previous Banshee and TZ250 would do much higher top speeds but I don't have...
