Electronic gremlins? Windows, seat, temperature display weirdness.

Lately we've seen various windows not go
up or down, front seat which won't adjust in one
way, and an occasionally inaccurate temp. display.

Sounds like a central elec. problem - what's the...

We own a B5 S4 (2.7T) and a 1.8T TT...

The TT is more fun for me, but the S4 is not
a bad second. :)

Hmm, I don't thnk thats quite it, though.

I'm not looking for the Hall sensor
itself, but the N205 valve which has
something to do with it. This is located
close to the Fuel Pressure Regulator.

I think is may be a variable valve...

Rear seats don't fold forward very well any more...

It's as if they're off-track or something.
They start folding in a diagonal path and
get really hard to push down or even pull
back up. Both of them. Any idea how to diagnose/
fix?

Just updated via the program and it just gave me
version 2.5 service pack 3. There is a link
from the P0012 discussion to testing camshaft
timing, but that section that link refers to
doesn't...

Anyone here ever replace the camshaft position sensor?

Been getting error codes due to this -or maybe
a real underlying problem. The sensor is $99
at ECS, so thought I might start there. While
the removal/installation of the part itself
looks easy,...
