I have a 97 which is 99% identical, same engine, tranny, etc. The car is EXTREMELY tough. I have literally been airborne in mine after flying off snowbanks avoiding idiots who park in the street.

12v = 6.3quarts but there's always some residue so you may only be able to (more)

put in 5.5 or so. As far as the filter number I recommend the mobil-1 filter. The part number for the WIX filter, which is a hell of a lot easier to find, is 51191. I know this off the top of my head...

sounds odd to me, I assume this is a 2.8?. have you tried the usual run of the mill fuel injector cleaner? that might take care of the lean issue. hopefully the vacuum issue is somehow related... bad...

it was a battery powered one, I got everything off by hand and put them back (more)

with the impact wrench my neighbor loaned me. All I know is that his wrench was more powerful than I. So everything is on there at least as tight as it was if not tighter.

under acceleration the springs would be at their least loaded actually

the forward acceleration wbrings the front up taking the load OFF the springs, this is when they shift slightly.
