I know cars are starting to land this month, mine is on a ship due to for May delivery... am anxious to hear any reviews or impressions of the tip.

Gas Guzzler for Tips?

Has anyone received any definitive word on whether the gas guzzler tax will or will not be applied for S5 tips? There's been some debate both ways so far, but I've not seen anything authoritative.

Ordered on 12/14 when first tips ordered were taken, sat at my dealers as they entered it, got a commission number on the spot.

Was part of the early Feb allocation, originally scheduled for 5/13...

Not the only S5 in the Pac NW, there are more than a few in the Seattle/Bellevue area already. I'm sure the first yellow though.

Been debated at length, the EPA site indicates no GG, the B6 S4 had GG only for manual... better gas mileage expected for S5 tip. See link below.

Tax difference? That would be about $500 based...

Nope, $5,850 to be exact

The MSRP on the A5 s-line was $51,640.

The MSRP on my S5 tip on order is $57,990.

But subtract the $500 for the carbon trim to be apples to apples w/ the A5 I drove.

Difference is $5,850.

You'll be happy i think

I had some second thoughts about going Quartz vs. the PB which I ultimately decided on.

After seeing it, I think I would have been very happy with Quartz as well - and easier to care for sure.
