the warranty issue is if the car starts shifting at the incorrect intervals which "allegedly"...

puts stress on the car. basically, the car thinks it's time to shift based on the "slightly incorrect" speed caused by the larger diameter tires. it has to do with the tire revolutions per mile...

Actually meant allroad warranty, not treadwear warranty...

TireRack said the allroad warranty would be voided with wheel diameters out of spec.

My 2004 allroad 2.7 is about a year old (to me) and I just didn't know how low I could go. I wasn't trying a Kramer (Seinfeld reference), but I ran out of gas about 100 yards from the service...
