Got home, tripped...

replacing start and stop buttons?

How difficult is it to replace the start and stop buttons?

The "dark" has worn off of the center of the buttons, so I want to replace them. I'm sure the stealership wants an arm and a leg.

I guess I'll go with all new bulbs

Fuse has to be good, right? I mean its just the one bulb in the assembly of about 6.

I don't have a warm shop, so it kind of sucks to do this in a cold parking lot.

Went down to the garage this morning to do about 3 hours of running around town. Bank, dry cleaners, get in a quick run, etc.

Didn't happen.

My car is totally disabled this morning

Brake pedal is locked, I get a couple of icons on the dash, the gear lever won't move, not even the glove box will open.

I'm waiting on a tow.

The first part of the message says that I must "Put the shift lever in Park or the car may roll away"

Yeah, that would be important to know, huh.

This has been happening off and on for the last couple of months. using the SmartKey, I park and use the "Stop" button to kill the engine.

But when I open the driver door, I get a tone like I...
