Detroit sounds like fun for you. Sandy's from Motor City, so we spent lots of time there in the past. You'll like 'Greek Town'. Go there for dinner and drinking. Not far from Ren Cen.

Coilovers don't change total front/rear or left/right distribution...

other than they might weigh a few pounds less.
You can adjust cross weight some.
