My guess is it has nothing to do with a V-6, which happens to be one of the world's BEST engines ever designed and built.

My feeble advice is this :
Go with a new S5 with the available wheels you like the most.
Drive it for 30-45 days. My guess is you'll LOVE the car so much the wheels will be a non issue.
Try it.
