I have the same exact sound

Did you isolate the problem? My car just started making this sound last night. If you got it fixed, could you tell me how much the repair was?

Thanks,

torque converter

Your highway RPM will depend on whether the torque converter (TC)lock up has engaged or not. I run 2600 rpm at ~70 mph with the TC locked up in 5th. When it is not locked, I run 2800 when cruising,...

Whether I reset the code or not, the next time I drive the car the TC will lock up on the highway. I do not know if resetting the CEL 'resets' the solenoid or not. I tend to reset as soon as I get...

more diagnosis

You can try to pinpoint the problem by performing a few quick tests.

When does the pedal lose pressure? When driving, after highway, on startup?

How does the pedal recover pressure? ...
