Looks like they moved the sensor from the far right, closer to the exit of the turbo. ...probably better flow over it there. You can even see where there is still a flat where it used to be.

Most likely not the issue. ....Mine creaked where the trunk springs connected to the body. A little lubricant at the connection point solved it.
Try spraying some lubricant in all the bushing...
