i have trial installed the spare and it is no problemo. the tool caddy is nice but not necessary at all. i am going to keep the inflator and sealant in case of slow leaks but the spare is the answer...

the "compact" spare is the same diameter as a full size spare but it is much narrower which allows it to fit in the well. did not try a full size but i doubt it would fit.
