red oil pressure light result

i took off the oil inlet pipe and the screen was clean as whistle, the cam caps show no scoring and starving.

hmm B6 is single trans mount on the back, i did undo the motor mounts

i'm in the middle of pulling my oil pan and i tried to do it without pulling the subframe

looks like the pan shape is very difficult to slide forward and even though i cherry pickered the engine up for additional clearance, it wasn't enough to even drop the last long bolt on the back.

i tried to do the oil pan your way but i couldn't lift the engine high enough

i used chains and wrapped around the engine mount bracket and the thing barely moves up

i maybe got 2cm of clearance but looks like i need 5cm to get the pan out

i think the newer chain driven...

pull the plugs and stick them in the coils to see if they fire

2nd owner, the engine wasn't very clean when i bought it at 40k

thats why i cleaned the valve cover and did 2 autoRX treatments.

5k OCI

oh rotella T synth is actually just as good as Delvac 1/TDT.

i think the rotella T synth might have dislodged the old...

i don't think my case is major, just got a free tube of oil pan gasket and at cost VC gasket

i cleaned the engine a few times already i bet it's just the pickup since the light only turns on over 2000 rpm
