I saw some photos of a really clean (B5) A4 a couple of years ago.

Shaved door handles, side marker lights, door strips etc. Looked good. I can't remember whose it was, but I seem to remember the owner was in SoCal. Anyone else here remember?

Would part # 8D0-863-821-Q be the same item?

I have an invoice for part number: 8D0-863-821-Q
purchased on approximately the correct date. The description is for 'SOUND ABS' and price is $158.60.

I'm guessing this is the same part. Let me...

Does anyone know the part number to the plastic tray that fits under the engine?

I'm looking for the part number for the under engine cover that attaches between the bottom of the front bumper valence and the front suspension. The model year is a 1998.5 if that makes a...

You've just asked the $64K question!

I feel that if the 'impact' that caused those scuff marks was sufficient to arm the airbags, one of which deployed later while driving, then that surely must be a fault.

I can't believe that Audi...

Thank you. That makes a lot of sense. I couldn't understand how...

...a simple action could trigger the airbag. Otherwise they would deploy on a regular basis. Especially on the potholed roads here in Los Angeles!

That's a very good point! I will.

The wheels are definitely dirty, but they look great when they're clean!

The valence plastic is pretty soft. If grazing a kerb is sufficient to...

arm an airbag for deployment at a future date I would consider that a design fault no less serious than a random deployment while driving.

The scuffs on that bumper and valence occured over two...

Yes. And yet Audi claim an impact triggered it.

I just wonder what kind of impact would trigger that side airbag, since there is no evidence of the door, or structure having been hit. If the sensor was that sensitive, then I would think that there...

Photos of car with deployed airbag (BWW)

This afternoon I went to the dealership to photograph my car. I thought I would post some of the photographs here. As far as I can see there is no sign of any impact, despite Audi's claim that the...

I will photographs the bruises on my friends arm and torso.

Both of us were pretty shaken. The sound of the airbag deploying is like a gunshot inside the car. I've never been in an accident, but having an airbag deploy suddenly and without warning left me...

Thank you RKA, I always value your posts

I understand Audi's reluctance to admit fault. They claim a representative already looked at the car. I have not authorized them to clear any codes.

As for personal transportation, well I still...
