do i just need the clips? or do i have to get the whole piece?

I think the molding part is fine, it's just that the clips have descintigrated. So are the clips replacable?

mine is falling off. IIRC, it's pretty common for the clips that hold it on to be rusting out. What are people doing about this? Where can i buy replacement stuff?

Thanks.

Note: when did the A4...

it was like a high pitched whirring...

certainly not a squeak like a control arm. And the fact that is was most prevalant when I turned to the left led me to believe it was a wheel bearing.

What else could it be?

how hard is it to change a wheel bearing?

I'm pretty sure Autozone lends out the wheel bearing press for no charge.

My front, driver's side bearing started squeaking the other day, though I haven't heard it in the last couple of days. I...

anybody else not surprised this was posted by somebody w/ the handle "AudiTech"?

sorry, can't help w/ the pics, but it is pretty damn easy. The only "trick" would be that is is easier to access the oil filter by unsrewing the coolant tank (3 or 4 phillips head screws) so you can...

i don't know if this is common or not, but i saw a new style A6 last thursday....

it was getting on the Ferry going from Port Jefferson, Long Island to Bridgeport, CT. It had a European (I think German) front license plate.

IMO, it looked pretty damn good in person.

i took on a cone at 75mph the other night on the highway....

i crested a hill and it was lying in the road right over the hill. I only had time to swerve to make it go under the middle of the car, instead of a wheel hitting it.

Result: broke off the corner...

didn't meet up with any AWers....

I was mainly at the mercy of the 3 other people I went with.

It's an amazing time though. Imagine a city that is already an incredibly fun party city, and add 250,000 well-to-do, party-loving...

i wouldn't worry about it....

the M1 should last longer than 5000mi anyways. Just check the oil level and add some if necessary. if you get up to 7000+ miles, then i'd think about changing it.

punctured them....

i feel like most of the grease just squirted back out, though. A few of them ruptured on other parts as i was pumping it in though.

I didn't realize it would take time for the grease to settle in....
