Maybe if he reseals the motor it'd be better

Older air cooled cars that switch to synth tend to weak oil at the seals if changed over w/o new seals.

I've had success with Castol GTX high mileage in my car.

Yeah, still waiting for my garage to be finished so I can do a full 3-step clean/correct/protect on the car. When I try and clean it's already dirty by the time I'm done from all the tree/animal...

Yep, for some reason my 99.5 had a 3-wire 471A, so I was good-to-go.

The gains were good as far as my seat-of-the-pants dyno goes. Hopefully you are in luck and have an odd-ball 471A like I did.
