Already searched the archive, tech, etc - Lower control arm replacement procedure

I am replacing my driver side front lower control arm, the straight one that is connected to the sway bar link.

I know I need the special joint separator, will the Harbor Freight model work?

Like turbo510 said. Really bad wheel bearing could also cause the wheel to seize, but the noise will likely be different from what you are describing.
