1) My mistake, it wasn't the rear wiper, it was the rear defroster.
2) I also noticed that the impact is greatest when the accessory is first turned on, and then it steps...

my experience with Diesel (not SQ5)...

I previously had a 2007 335xi sedan.

In both cases, I start driving without much warmup. My commutes are short (10 miles), mostly suburban with speeds of 25-45 mph and roughly 10 stop lights...

Thanks for the data Mark. I don't have this level of detail (not even close!) but I'm getting close to what the trip computer estimates. After a fill, I regularly see numbers right around 600...
