I believe that people left not because of the format change exclusively, but instead they left because of the "get used to it, or piss off" attitude IB put forth.

Also the first few days were...

How is that even an argument? If consent has been withdrawn, then people should be allowed to remove their content if they so wish. The reasoning is really irrelevant IMO.

People withdraw their...

What happened to the older posts?

Now all forums only go back to vB implementation times? I realize that lots of people have been annoyingly bumping threads from '98-'99 but really? The answer is just to not allow comment on old...

Sad to see you give up the project after putting so much work into it over the last few years.

Glad to see the stupid thing is finally going to be running good!

I screw my filters on util the gasket seats + 2/3-1/2 a turn.

Never had a filter come loose, no need to crank it down from what I've seen. Also makes oil changes in the boat go a lot more smoothly...

True, and I probably am going to end up with the stock 288mm discs.

I have thought that I'd like to do some track days and maybe get into auto-x sometime down the road, so it was more a preemptive "while I'm in there" kind of thought to just upgrade to the 312mm...

The Stoptechs are considerably larger than the stock calipers I would guess.

If I upgrade to 312mm rotors what are the odds I'll still be able to fit my snows on my 15"

steelies? Offset ET45 with 8mm spacers. (so ET37)

Any experience? I need to do my brakes within the next few weeks, but my Nokians still have a lot of life left in them and I don't want to have to...

Do you not have full coverage insurance?

My bank requires it as long as you still owe money on the car.

I actually think it looks good.

Any close ups with the lights off of how it was trimmed in?

If you remove all the clips, then nothing is going to be really holding it into the dash.

My radio was working, during the process of removing it, the 7.5A fuse on the back blew. I replaced the fuse and the unit no longer turned on. I don't honestly know what actually killed the unit...

FYI if anyone has a radio with broken clips, it is possible to remove.

I ended up removing the lower dash and glove box, and then used a pry bar to force it out. My headunit no longer works, although I'm not sure if it was from needing to force it out or not.

If...

Brake fluid doesn't magically dissapear, it can boil off under extreme circumstances.

The fact that the pedal started going to the floor after the incident, and you subsequently needing to add more brake fluid makes me think that you definitely did something to the brake line as well....

Installing an ipod hookup box, and the fuse on the back of it is blown now. (I hope.)

I'm probably going to end up tearing it out and just buying a new one. I found one from a reputable dealership for $40+shipping.

... I didn't think that we had enough clearance with the upper control arms to even run chains...

3rd the brake line, the fact that the pedal has no resistance most likely means that you are losing fluid via broken line or something similar.

Great. Looks like some of the clips on my headunit are tweaked out.

Delightful. So now I pretty much have to remove the knee bolster and glovebox to get behind it? Is there any other way? 2000MY double DIN unit.

(For the record I STFA and didn't really find...
