Assuming 235/45/17? I used to run OEM Dunlops at 36psi all around. I had 235/40/18 Ziex 512s and

ran them at 38psi all around. Even that seemed a little on the high side by viewing the wear on the tires.

I think you'd be fine at ~36psi. Then inspect them after a while to see how they are...

I had Falken 512s on my B6 and found their sidewall a little too soft.

But if you don't mind a loss of cornering performance for a bit more comfort in the ride, they might be Ok.

But my OEM Dunlops in 45 series aspect ratio had a stiffer sidewall than them. I...

I wouldn't buy the Falkens again. They have decent wet and dry traction but

they have a rather soft sidewall.

I was running 235/40/18s and they had a less stiff sidewall than the stock 235/45/17 Dunlop SP9090s. I never felt like the Dunlops would roll much in a corner,...

Not on the 2.0T. I don't think anyone would buy the 3.2 DSG if the 2.0T had it.

Slippage can be beneficial in snow if you're stuck and need some wheel

spin to assist in getting you going. With ESP on, it will brake the wheels that are slipping, which could keep you stuck.

Now, once you're going, it can be a different story!

Yep - same with Arizona

My sister moved to Phoenix a year and a half ago. I didn't see one rusty car let alone a dirty one.

Oh - but they put chrome rims on ANYTHING down there.

I think it depends on where you are.

Up here in Vancouver, Subarus hold their value quite well. They are not on the resale market for long. My sister is in Scottsdale and she lucked out finding one that was only a year old.

I hear...

After 4 1/2 years of ownership, I decided to trade in the Avant and pick up something a little more practicle. My wife and I are talking about having kids and when I originally picked up the Avant,...

Avanteix just got 20s for his Avant, but they're not on yet - likely spring

You'll likley find him on AZ before here. I think he moderates the B6 board over there.

Have you had the breather hose replaced?

I had the same symptoms for about a week, then the oil started accumulating enough to drip down under the car after a while. I looked around the engine bay and noticed the breather hose had a hole in...
