I demodded my car from the A8 rotors back to my old A4 rotors. They had some rusty flakes in the vented areas that fell off before installing. I kept the same pads so I had no reason to disconnect...

$300-$400?? check egay's completed auctions for a guestimate

I plan to sell my A4 within the year and will sell my GIAC 557p ECU. Based on what I've seen, I don't plan to get more than $400 for it.

I wasn't implying that you buy $50 in filters to get free shipping

Between spark plugs, cabin pollen filters and other nicknacks, you can't reach $50? between my A4 and other cars, i've given them $500 over the last year.

congrats on the install, but dunno about the blowjob

if you blow through an old filter that has a liquid(gas) soaked paper element, why wouldn't it be harder to blow through compared to a new one that is bone dry inside? am i missing something here?

that's their ghey list price. if you shop around, you can get it for $12

I wanted it asap and didn't want to pay shipping so I grabbed one at a local VW stealership knowing full well that I was over paying.

I agree, the labor costs are the same but less seldom

I would prefer to do 13-14 quart oil changes than worry about t-belt tensioner and control arm failures. ;-)
