I think ECS sells a kit that includes a new oil pump. A flush will probably just load your existing pump with crud, and finish off your engine.

They tend to let the engine run rich when they get old, and

usually only throw a code when they get really bad.

Nope, it times out after 10 or 15 minutes.

I leave my keys in the ignition too, and my car sometimes sits for a week at a time. I do know that if you leave a VAG-COM cable plugged in (car off), that it can drain your battery.
