I think ECS sells a kit that includes a new oil pump. A flush will probably just load your existing pump with crud, and finish off your engine.

Pulling the bumper only takes 20 minutes, working around it will add an hour.

Pull both head lights, three nuts on each side that hold the bumper to the fenders, the four plastic screws (two on each side) in the wheel wells, and the two long bolts holding the bumper rebar to...

Well....

If you do get a code for running too rich, your o2 is working and the problem is elsewhere. No rich code, and you are running rich (black tail pipes are a sign) means the o2 is on it's way out and is...

Nope, it times out after 10 or 15 minutes.

I leave my keys in the ignition too, and my car sometimes sits for a week at a time. I do know that if you leave a VAG-COM cable plugged in (car off), that it can drain your battery.

Noise up front is the belt tensioner. Chain tensioners tend to only make the "sewing machine" sound when the engine/oil is cold.

That's pretty low for stock, lately I have been getting

around 22mpg(calculated) on a FWD 5 speed, slightly modded. I would also average 25mpg in the summer. Don't know how many miles are on your car, but you might be due for a MAF and o2 sensor. o2...
