Had the same issue, Make sure to replace the water pump as well. I did mine at the dealership and I only paid for the water pump as the labor was covered for replacing the thermostat.

Not a good choice frankly, esp. for a teen. These cars are really expensive to maintain as they age, even at independent repair ships. I have a 2013 and it's had slightly above average reliability....

Water burbling sound when HCAV fans runninging

I have a 2013 A6 Prestige and can hear this sound when running the AC. Seems there is some water in the ducts or pipes that burbles when the fans are running. Anyone have experience with this>?

So I ended up getting it for 8.6% below MSRP, and also an additional $2,500 in Audi rebates via their loyalty program and Audi Financial. Not bad I s'pose.
